Healesville Sanctuary, Australia's leading wildlife park, is nestled in the foothills of the Yarra Valley, just one hour from Melbourne. Koalas, dingoes, kangaroos and the unique platypus are just a few of the 200 species of Australian wildlife flourishing in a beautiful bushland environment.

Renowned as the best place in the world to see Australian animals in their natural habitats, visitor highlights include the many Animal Close-up and Meet the Keeper presentations scheduled throughout the day. Directions: Healesville Sanctuary is 65 kilometres (41 miles) from Melbourne. If you are driving from Melbourne, head east along Maroondah Highway through Ringwood, Lilydale and Coldstream. Follow the signs to Healesville. Once in the township of Healesville, turn right into Badger Creek Road and travel 4 kilometres (2.5 miles). Signs at a roundabout will direct you to Healesville Sanctuary.
