How to get to the Yarra Valley

From the City

*Toll way: On the Eastern Freeway, the section from Springvale Road to Ringwood Bypass is a toll way. If your car doesn’t have a toll tag you can buy a trip pass online, over phone, or from a Post Office before or within 3 days after the trip. You can drive through without a tag and EastLink will send an invoice to the registered owner or driver of the car (this option includes additional fees). Non-toll way: Alternatively, exit the Eastern Freeway at Springvale Rd, go right, then left on to Maroondah Hwy and drive through Ringwood and Lilydale before reaching the three highway alternatives.

From the Airport

Head towards the City on the Tullamarine Freeway (M2) before turning left onto Flemington Road (Route 79). Follow the signs to Clifton Hill. At Clifton Hill, stay in the left hand lane to turn into the Eastern Freeway. Follow the signs to Ringwood.

LILYDALE
From the Eastern Freeway, take the first exit out of the Mullum Mullum tunnel into the Ringwood Bypass. Stay in the left lane and follow the signs to Lilydale.

COLDSTREAM
From Lilydale, stay on the Maroondah Highway (B300) and follow the signs to Healesville, Yea. Stay in the left hand lane as the road splits. Follow the signs to Healesville for 5 minutes and you will come to Coldstream.

HEALESVILLE
From Lilydale, stay on the Maroondah Highway (B300) and follow the signs to Healesville, Yea. Stay in the left hand lane as the road splits. Follow the signs to Healesville. At Coldstream the road will split; take the right hand lane to Healesville (B360) for approximately 20 minutes.

MARYSVILLE
From Healesville, continue on Maroondah Highway (B360) for 24km, then turn right into Marysville Road (C507). Follow signs to Lake Mountain/Warburton for 270m, then turn left into Marysville Road. Follow the signs to Marysville.

WARBURTON
From Lilydale, stay on the Maroondah Highway (B300) and follow the signs to Healesville, Yea. Stay in the right hand lane as the road splits and you will need to be on the Warburton Highway (B380). Follow the signs to Warburton for approximately 35 minutes.

YARRA GLEN
From Lilydale, stay on the Maroondah Highway (B300) and follow the signs to Healesville, Yea. Stay in the left hand lane as the road splits. Follow the signs to Healesville. At Coldstream the road will split; take the left hand lane to Yarra Glen (B300) for approximately 10 minutes.
To get from Yarra Glen to Healesville turn left at the Healesville-Yarra Glen Road (C726) and carry on for a further 10km.

Melbourne Airport has six car rental companies located on site. All have offices on the ground floor of the short term car park, and information desks in the Melbourne Airport domestic terminals. Contact the companies direct for current rates.
