A sell out event at last year’s Fireside Yarra Valley Festival, this one off-dinner event celebrates the traditional Argentinian Asado style of cooking over coals, with a distinctly Yarra Valley flavour.
The evening will be culinary celebration of winter in the Yarra Valley, with the menu highlighting Oakridge Executive Chef Aaron Brodie’s hyper-local approach to cooking, showcasing the season’s bounty from the kitchen garden and his favourite local producers.
Over a four-course feast created by Oakridge chef Aaron Brodie, guests will enjoy watching whole butterflied Yeringberg lamb, dry-aged Warialda beef and house-made morcilla skewered on a metal frame called an asador and roasted to tender perfection over a slow-burning firepit. Each course will be matched to a curated selection of our award-winning wines sourced from the Oakridge cellar especially for the evening.
Asado is part of Fireside Yarra Valley a 16-day festival showcasing the best wineries and producers in the Yarra Valley with a packed schedule of winemaker dinners, fireside brunches, pizza parties and cooking classes.
Fireside Yarra Valley will run from Saturday 9th July – Sunday 24th July.
