Devil's Elbows is a challenging climb up Mt Dandenong starting at Upper Ferntree Gully adjacent to the 1000 Steps car park. It is one of several signature climbs of the Dandenong Ranges. It includes two sharp hairpins as it traverses its way through the Dandenong Ranges National Park.

The climb is deceptively steep in parts where the gradient reaches 10% on the left hand hairpin at around 1.4km. Follow Mt Dandenong Tourist Road until you reach Churchill Drive at the 2.6km mark, continue on this road until you reach the second hairpin or 'Devil's Elbow' then take the right onto One Tree Hill Road. The final 1.4km provide some flatter cycling so you can finish off the climb strong.

While the climb is a challenge, riders are rewarded with great views as the move from the grassy forest to the wet temperature forest which provides a welcome relief on hot days.
