Melba's House of Art
Step into the private world of Dame Nellie Melba this winter at Coombe Yarra Valley. For six weeks only, her historic cottage will transform into Melba's House of Art—an exclusive exhibition of paintings, antiques, and curiosities, many never seen by the public.
Led by Coombe's in-house historian, this intimate guided tour reveals a remarkable collection of neo-classical portraits, French florals, Japanese woodblock prints, Chinese silks, and early 20th century modernism. The exhibition also features works by some of Australia's most celebrated artists, including Hans Heysen, Margaret Preston, Thea Proctor, Arthur Streeton, Joan Lindsay and Daryl Lindsay.
