Omaru Alpacas Open Farm Days

Omaru Alpaca Farm is conveniently located in a picturesque setting on the urban fringes of Melbourne. Omaru Farm is open to the public on the first and the fourth Sunday of each month unless otherwise noted on the website. The opening times are 11am to 3pm. Visitors are encouraged to book at one of the wonderful local venues or to bring along a picnic. It is such a wonderful setting you will want to stay all day. Dress appropriately for a farm visit. Don’t forget hats, gumboots and sunscreen depending on conditions.

Visitors are encouraged to walk in designated areas among selected alpacas. Feed the alpacas with generous handfuls of hay which is provided free. There is a limited number of seated picnic spots or a picnic blanket is an easy alternative maybe in the paddock surrounded by friendly alpacas.

There is a farm shop where a selection of farm related products can be purchased. A coffee (and Hot chocolate) vending machine supplies hot drinks on demand.
