Ripe Sassafras is a well-known and loved cafe restaurant in the heart of the Dandenong Ranges, owned and run by hills locals. Located in the quaint Sassafras Village, about a 45-minute drive east of Melbourne. The venue is centred around one of the original homes dating back to the early 1900's and has the edition of a fully covered alfresco dining space at the rear that looks out to the trees. The venue oozes cosy ambience and also caters for our fury friends on the front deck.
