Partnership Terms and Conditions

As a Tourism East partner, our shared goal is to foster collaborative, mutually beneficial relationships that help to promote the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges as a premier tourism destination. We’ve outlined some important terms and conditions below to ensure a successful partnership and maintain industry standards.

By becoming a partner, you agree to the following terms:

1. Partnership Overview

As a partner, you will gain access to a range of marketing opportunities and promotional activities to showcase your business and services to visitors exploring the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges. Our partnerships are built on trust, transparency, and shared goals to support sustainable regional tourism growth.

NB: Tourism East partners may be referred to as ‘members’ when information and invoicing are generated via our customer management system - Membes. This however does not give any additional membership rights to an individual or business.

2. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to participate in the Tourism East partnership program, your business or service must:

  • Be located and/or operate within the Yarra Valley or Dandenong Ranges tourism region. Businesses delivering tourism services located outside these boundaries shall be considered on merit and associated benefits to the regional ecosystem.
  • Comply with all relevant local, state, and national laws, licencing and policies, including health and safety regulations required to operate transport, responsible service of alcohol, food safety, events and functions.
  • Hold public liability insurance for at least $10m cover.
  • Provide quality products or services that align with the values of responsible and sustainable tourism.
  • Agree that memberships belonging to other tourism associations does not entitle the Association’s members to individual Tourism East Partnership benefits.

3. Partnership Categories

We offer various partnership levels and packages to suit the needs of different businesses. The specifics of each partnership package, including benefits and pricing, will be outlined in the partnership prospectus and listed on the Tourism East website.

4. Promotion & Marketing

As part of the partnership, your business will be promoted through various Tourism East marketing channels including, but not limited to:

  • Website Listing: As per partnership inclusions, your business will be featured on the official Tourism East consumer website.
  • Social Media: As per partnership inclusions, your business will be promoted on request via the Tourism East social media platforms.
  • Email Newsletters: As per partnership inclusions, your business may be included by request in our email marketing communications.
  • Campaigns & Events: Depending on the partnership package, your business may be part of broader tourism marketing campaigns or events.

We encourage partners to keep us informed of any special offers, new products, or services as we are always looking for fresh content to share with our audience.

Occasionally, information on our site may contain unintentional typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions related to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, or offers. While we endeavour to avoid these, we can not guarantee and will amend in a timely manner when advised.

Occasionally the Tourism East consumer website (visityarravalley.com.au and visitdandenongranges.com.au) is linked to via a third party. Tourism East does not have any liability or responsibility for any third-party materials or websites or for any other materials, products, or services of third-parties.

5. Partner Responsibilities

To maintain a successful relationship, we ask that all partners:

  • Provide accurate, up-to-date information for listings and promotional materials.
  • Comply with all marketing requirements outlined by the Tourism East marketing team.
  • Ensure that your business upholds a high customer service standard and meets visitors' expectations.
  • Notify Tourism East of any changes to your business that could impact your listing or partnership benefits; alternatively, if your business has an Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) listing, review and amend your listing as required.
  • Contribute to the promotion of Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges tourism through your own marketing channels.
  • Understand that Tourism East cannot be held responsible for the performance nor tracking the performance of your website, social media or bookings.

6. Fees & Payment

Inclusion in Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges marketing and promotional collateral requires an active Tourism East partnership.

  • All partnership fees must be paid as agreed upon in your partnership agreement.
  • Tourism East partners will be designated one debtor account for financial purposes.
  • Fees are non-refundable and are due in full by the specified payment deadline, including businesses that have closed or changed ownership, unless special arrangements have been made.
  • Outstanding balances may result in exclusion or suspension from future projects and may trigger a review of your partnership status.
  • Partners are responsible for any additional costs related to additional promotional activities or events not included in their package (ie: via our digital rate card). These must be paid for before delivery of the requested service.
  • Tourism East retains the right to pursue legal action to recover any outstanding accounts.

7. Use of Tourism East Branding

Partners are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use Tourism East's branding, logos, and assets for the duration of the partnership. This use must comply with our brand guidelines and may require approval by our marketing team before being used in any materials or marketing platforms.

8. Term & Termination

Partnerships are set for a 12-month period unless otherwise agreed. Either party can terminate the partnership early by providing written notice. In the event of termination, any fees paid are non-refundable.
