Sustaining Tourism was the theme for this year's Annual Tourism Summit, which was held at the RACV Country Club & Resort Healesville. It was a great success, with tickets selling out and record attendance of over 190 people. It was fantastic to see so many of our partners attend the event and engage with the wonderful program providing opportunities for learning and networking.

Yarra Ranges Tourism provided an update on the Destination Management Plan (DMP) and what this means for our region not only for tourism but for the locals living in these areas. We also heard from our Head of Marketing and Communications, Euan McDonald-Madden, on what our team has been working on this past year, how industry partners can get involved and some upcoming projects that we are excited about.

Thank you to our amazing keynote speakers Matt Jones (Four Pillars Distillery), Kristy Malapa (Tourism Australia), Steven Wright (ODIN360), Peter Turner & Sueanne Carr (Customer Frame) who engaged our industry partners and provided knowledge-rich information that was actionable to each business.

Our interactive breakout sessions provided a deeper dive into Workforce by Brooke Young (OELLEN), Sustainable Tourism by Matt Sykes (Regeneration Projects) and Re-thinking our Food & Drink - Good to Better by food journalists Sofia Levin and Donna Demaio. Our industry partners found these workshops incredibly useful, asking our presenters lots of insightful questions and they took away some actionable points to work on back in their own businesses.

Our Annual Summit is a sponsored event so that we can keep the price as low as possible for our partners to attend. If you are interested in being a sponsor, please get in touch about what type of sponsorship packages are available for next year.
