Walking proximity to Sassafras, local shops, famous gardens & the national park. Sassafras is an attractive historic village located in the scenic Dandenong Ranges, situated just south of the popular tourist destination of Olinda. The township features a diverse collection of cafes, antique and craft shops. The most recognisable building in Sassafras - the Miss Marples Tea Rooms is housed in a beautiful two storey English Tudor style house. Ripe Cafe, Proserpina Bakehouse, King Henry Arts Cafe, Fortnums, all provide ample choice for local culinary delights. Shopping includes Seven Pages, From Dust, Through the Looking Glass Bookshop, Tea Leaves, Gippetto's, Sassafras Sweet Company, Quirky and Soak. Famous gardens include The Alfred Nicholas Memorial Gardens (the original garden of the Burnham Beeches Estate).

Dingleigh Cottage is a 10min walk into Sassafras along natural Forest paths. From Sassafras, public transport is available via bus routes to most villages in the Dandenong Ranges. Regular train services available to Upper Ferntree Gully and Belgrave from Melbourne. Only 40 minutes from Melbourne and approximately one hour from Melbourne airport.
