Nillumbik is an easily accessible escape to the country, just a 45-minute drive from Melbourne, with so much to see and do.

The area's artisan hills feature attractions, including the iconic Montsalvat, Australia's oldest artists' colony, the loveable Edendale Community Environment Farm, which is a favourite for the kids (and adults!) and the stunning Sugarloaf Reservoir Park.

Famous artists have painted the sweeping landscapes in Eltham and its surrounds over many years, and exhibitions are regularly held in venues throughout the region. Artists can be visited during Open Studios, a twice-yearly event where you can see an artist at work and purchase unique pieces.

Wineries are nestled among the green, rolling hills or tucked away in traditional bushland. The journey is just as beautiful as the destination. Meander through the region and experience our quintessentially Australian villages. Stop in for a bite to eat at a cafe or wander the boutiques and providores for a touch of retail therapy.

Weekends are brimming with activities and plenty of local markets, including the famous St Andrews Community Market every Saturday.
