Over the next three or so months, Rayners Orchard will have dozens of plum varieties ripening at different times during the season, ready for tasting and picking during fruit tasting tours.
Blood Plums, Golden Plums, Red Plums, Sugar Plums, Yellow flesh, white flesh and red flesh plums—and that is just some of what you can expect during the summer and early autumn season of delicious plums. Sweet and juicy, they will melt in your mouth and bring back memories of visiting the grandparents farm to visitors of more mature ages. The little ones love this season—there is no way of eating a succulent tree ripened plum without having plum juice run down your arm—but that just gives you an excuse to lick it off.
Pick your own in season plums on the farm on fruit tasting adventure tours, running daily on demand from 9:00am to 4:00pm. No bookings required for groups less than 15 people. Tours run for around an hour, U Pick is optional on all tours.
