Bower Bird Cottage Marysville

Located on a 12 acre property, this cute cottage known as "Number 6" is situated around a 5 minute drive from the township of Marysville. This one bedroom cabin has double bed, single bed and ensuite bathroom with shower, hand basin and toilet. Couch and small dining table too. There is a kitchenette with microwave, kettle, toaster, air fryer, bar fridge and a compact combined electric oven/cooktop, crockery, cutlery, fry pans, saucepans, baking dishes., and basic pantry items. Linen and towels are provided, however please bring your own toiletries. Some board games, decks of cards are provided.

Stunning views from the lounge area, each season brings it's own beauty. Stroll around the property, or sit by the lake (which has trout to catch!), with a glass of wine, and listen to the Steavenson River in the distance, or the numerous bird calls - the Bower bird is a favourite, (!) along with the many Magpies, Kookaburras and King Parrots.

Good location to Lake Mountain for those wanting to explore this area in the ski season. The cottage has 2 ceiling fans, hydronic heating, and an electric heater too. Dining options include The Duck Inn, Kepple Cafe, The Buxton Pub, or you can grab a snack or lunch at the very popular Marysville bakery. There are other takeaway options in town too.

The information centre is staffed by knowledegable locals, and will assist to provide maps, suggesgtions for walks, things to see and do, and they have interesting art exhibitions too. The market is held in town on the 2nd Sunday of each month. There is a Smart TV at the cabin however to access Netflix or Youtube, you will need to hotspot your phone - internet coverage cannot be guaranteed, so if necessary, please bring a portable modem.
