For 25 years, Nillumbik Hills Open Cellars has introduced visitors to the small, family-run wineries of the Nillumbik Hills on the quieter western side of the Yarra Valley.
For one weekend only, cellar doors across the region open for a rare chance to discover a different side of Victoria's premier wine region.
Follow the trail at your own pace, stopping in at eight independent wineries to enjoy premium local wines, seasonal food, live music, crackling fires and the relaxed charm of winter in wine country.
Forget the crowds and polished tourism experiences. Open Cellars offers something increasingly rare: passionate winemakers pouring their own wines, sharing the stories behind each vintage and welcoming visitors into the places where the wines are made.
Small in scale but rich in character, these are cellar doors where the welcome is personal, the conversations are genuine, and the wines reflect the place they come from.
