Enjoy floating down the Upper Yarra River on a river sled in this outdoor, nature-based adventure. This two-hour journey follows a scenic three kilometre stretch of river, winding through bends and small rapids. You'll experience a mix of relaxing floats and more active sections that require paddling, manoeuvring, and problem-solving.

Your adventure starts and finishes at the Warburton Football Oval. After a safety briefing and demonstration, they'll shuttle you upstream, giving you 1.5 to 2 hours to travel back at your own pace. The team will meet you at the end of your experience, back where you started, to collect your sled and any hire equipment.

The purpose-built river sleds are two meters long, made from high-grade materials, and designed for low-lying rivers. They're durable, easy to manoeuvre with hand paddling, and suitable for adults and children aged eight and above.

You'll encounter natural obstacles such as rocks, branches, and fallen logs, which may require paddling actively or briefly standing to navigate. This is a real river, not a theme park. Confident swimming is essential. Personal flotation device hire and guided options are available and recommended for less experienced participants.
