Warburton Rainforest Gallery

See & Do

Located within the Yarra Ranges National Park, the Warburton Rainforest Gallery is a must-do free activity when you're in Warburton. Only a 10-minute drive from the Warburton town centre, the Warburton Rainforest Gallery is accessed via Donna Buang Rd on the way to the Mt Donna Buang summit.

Set in a cool temperate rainforest, a 350 metre long elevated walkway takes you through the Rainforest Gallery where you will see magnificent 65 metre tall old growth Mountain Ash trees, ancient Myrtle Beech trees, ferns, mosses and other plants that make up this damp and diverse rainforest environment.

The Gallery has two attractions. First, you'll experience an elevated 'skywalk' viewing area perched 15 metres above the forest floor. This 40 metre long aerial walkway is suitable for wheelchairs and prams. The second is a short boardwalk that descends into the forest. After you enjoy the skywalk, continue your walk and head down the stairs for a further 20 minutes to explore more of the forest. There are multiple viewing areas where you can walk amongst the ferns and enjoy the sounds of Cement Creek flowing past on its journey to the Yarra River.

This hero attraction is free to enter and no dogs are allowed due to this being part of the Yarra Ranges National Park.
