Easter Escapades and School Holiday Fun

The autumn school holiday break offers so many egg-citing events happening across our region!

With the Easter long weekend as well as school holiday adventures in full swing, it's an ideal time to enjoy the region as a family and make some unforgettable memories.

Getting here can also be fuel-friendly with the Victorian Government's recent announcement of free public transport across the state for all until April 30. Exploring our region by train or bus is a great way to experience it, and it's easier than you might think.

Whether you're seeking wildlife encounters, farm experiences, or action-packed outdoor fun, our region is bursting with activities to keep little (and big) explorers entertained. Think treetop walks through vibrant autumn canopies at the Warburton Rainforest Gallery, interactive activities and hands-on workshops at places like Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery and SkyHigh Mt Dandenong that will have the kids buzzing with excitement (and, hopefully, ready for an early bedtime!) or magical autumnal blooms at Tesselaar KaBloom that need to be seen to be believed.

Alternatively, as temperatures have eased a bit, it's a great time of year to visit Gumbuya World Theme Park. It's the only theme park in Victoria with water slides, roller coasters, rides, live shows, and wildlife all in one location. Everyone wins!

Autumn school holidays are also basically the unofficial celebration of chocolate, and we’re not complaining! From Easter egg hunts in charming country gardens to artisan chocolatiers serving up the most decadent treats, there’s plenty to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Throughout the school holiday period, there's always something happening, especially at Blue Lotus Water Garden. From dinosaurs to Easter Bunnies and fairies too, the gardens are providing a great lineup of entertainment on weekends and at Easter for kids of all ages. See the website for details.
