The Signature Dish

Napoleone Mulled Apple Cider

While visiting, take the time to visit their Napoleone Cider Orchard Bar because the Napoleone family, already known for their Punt Road wine, have been growing apples before growing grapes. And Orchard Bar manager Rob Hall says it’s their signature mulled cider, made straight from their orchards; you can’t pass up.

So what makes it unique?

“Mulled Cider is the apple’s answer to Mulled Wine or Gluhvine,” says Rob, adding that mulled Cider has been enjoyed for centuries in the UK and is a fantastic way to enjoy cider in the autumn and winter months.

“It all starts with our Napoleone Apple Cider, steeped with cloves, star anise, allspice berries, cassia bark, cardamom, mandarin peel and cinnamon myrtle. Cinnamon myrtle is a gorgeous native ingredient that adds a wonderful, sweet spice note to the cider. We then add a golden fine brown sugar to bring richness to the blend.”

Guests can enjoy it in the Orchard Bar amongst the Pink Lady apples from Friday to Monday from midday to 5 pm.
