Day Two Itinerary:
We collaborated with Kevin and Janetta from the Channel 9 television program, Travel Guides, on a fantastic three day itinerary that lets you experience the Yarra Valley in style. Click here for Day One's itinerary.
Kevin and Janetta were up early for their amazing sunrise Global Ballooning experience. They soared above the clouds and experienced stunning views of the Yarra Valley and landed safely in time for breakfast. The Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery is a magical place where your inner-child is let loose amongst their fantastic creations. Kevin and Janetta joined them for a delicious breakfast and got their hands dirty in a chocolate-making experience.
Now it's time for wine tasting, a cellar door tour and lunch at De Bortoli Estate. Their contemporary Italian restaurant produces amazing food and their high-quality cool climate wines express the best of the Yarra Valley wine region.
It's time for someone else to do the driving this afternoon. Rick from Rick's Wine Tours was the perfect host for Kevin and Janetta's afternoon in Warburton. There's so much to explore in Warburton, you'll never be bored! One of our favourite places is The Alpine Hotel Warburton and that's where Kevin and Janetta sat down for a drink and nibbles. Established in 1885, the heritage listed and lovingly restored hotel is the perfect place to stay and dine in Warburton.
The final stop on this day is dinner at Coldstream Brewery. The restaurant and bar are housed in a charming old brick building in the heart of Coldstream and they serve amazing meals as well as great beer, cider and local wines.
Phew! Back to their accommodation at Balgownie Estate for some much-needed R&R.
