See & Do

The Yarra Valley, home to some of Australia's best wines, also has a thriving scene of craft breweries and cideries that emphasise quality ingredients and creative flavours.

Check out some of our favourite places which offer a delightful experience for both beer lovers and cider aficionados. They are all dog-friendly too!

COLDSTREAM BREWERY, COLDSTREAM

The original brainchild of four local friends, Coldstream Brewery's restaurant and bar are housed in a charming old brick building in the heart of Coldstream. There is a large selection of beers and ciders on tap for tasting and to take away, plus a well-stocked bar that supports other Yarra Valley producers and locally roasted coffee. The food is also amazing with all your pub favourites to enjoy.

Don't just take our word for it, check it out on your next Yarra Valley trip!

WATTS RIVER BREWING, HEALESVILLE

Watts River Brewing is a small, independent brewery in the heart of the Yarra Valley. The results can be sampled at their cellar door in Healesville where you'll be able to enjoy their core range and a rotating number of small batch brews made fresh with beautiful Yarra Valley water.

All beers have a strong ‘Farm to Table’ focus as they source approximately 80% of the brewing grain used directly from their brewer Ben’s family farm. This allows them to brew with the freshest grain each season.

The Brewery Bar is open from Thursday to Monday for fresh beer on tap, tasting paddles, house-made pizzas, snacks as well as a small selection of local wines, vodka and gin.

NAPOLEONE CIDER ORCHARD BAR, COLDSTREAM

Open 7 days a week, the Napoleone Cider Orchard Bar is nestled in between the estate's apple orchards and vineyards and is a seriously stunning place to discover local cider.

If you're feeling hungry, grab a picnic basket of cheese, charcuterie, and produce from the onsite Punt Road Wines Picnic Pantry and stay for brunch, lunch, or afternoon tea.

Gather your family and friends and check out their cider tasting paddles and full range of Napoleone and Louis ciders. You won't regret it!

KELLYBROOK WINERY, WONGA PARK

Don't let the name fool you, Kellybrook Winery's beginnings were in cider making. A small, family owned Yarra Valley winery, the team continues to ciders on the property, including the Méthode Traditionelle Cider and Apple Brandy that we know you'll love.

Open Friday to Sunday for tastings, platters and drinks, check out their award winning wines and ciders, enjoy a share platter menu featuring local produce and picnic under the magnificent 130-year-old oak tree.

ST RONAN'S CIDER, BADGER CREEK

St Ronan's Cider cellar door sits 800 metres past Healesville Sanctuary where they craft unique Australian ciders from apples and pears grown in the Yarra Valley.

Known for using locally sourced fruit and traditional champagne methods, St. Ronan’s offers a unique, high-quality cider experience. Their cider is made with no added water, sugars or concentrates, and it is also gluten-free.

Stop in to grab a bottle or settle in with a platter and a glass of some of the best cider you've ever tasted.
