Tourism Partner Survey Response September 2026

Sep 22, 2026

48 of you in mid 2026 took the time to fill in the Partner Business Pulse survey, and a good number left detailed comments as well as ticking boxes. Thank you, so much. It takes something to write a full paragraph in the middle of a busy time, and we read every one.

Here's what came through loudest, and what we're doing about it.

You said: marketing is the thing that matters most
Regional destination marketing came out on top by a big margin, and attracting visitors (especially mid-week) was named as the biggest lever for growth. That's exactly where our brand and marketing refresh is headed, we're moving into the final phase now, targeting a November launch, and this feedback is going straight into that brief.

You said: the social content could improve
A few of you were specific about this with mage quality, consistency, and the logo being hard to read. That feedback is going directly into the thinking and planning for the brand refresh with a photo and video shoot planned for October.

You said: the website listing is the most useful asset so it needs to be right.
It was the single highest-rated benefit in the survey. If your product listing isn't showing up correctly, please flag it to us this month and we'll support you to get it sorted.

You said: you want a proper local events calendar.
This was the most common answer to "what's the one thing we could do," and we love the idea and have been working on improving this. The What's On calendar will now feature all events relevant to visitors that are listed on ATDW. Listing on ATDW is free for events and will ensure that our What's On captures the smaller grassroots events, not just the big-ticket ones. If you know of an event that is not listed then please let us know.

You said: less frequent updates, please.
Most of you wanted Industry News less than weekly. We're moving to fortnightly.

You said: AI is the training topic you want most.
Noted. We're looking at what a practical, webinar-based session could look like, alongside a mentoring pilot given how many of you said you'd be open to that.

A few of you also mentioned wanting more face time with the team and we're going to look at getting out to more of you in person over the next few months.

If you want to see the full results, the report is attached. And if there's something in here you want to talk through, my door (and inbox) is open.

Thanks again for the honesty, it's what makes this useful.
